Lion Anyone?

22 Jul

After reviewing the additional features  packed into Apple’s new Mac OS coined Lion I am ready to make the upgrade.

Anyone else plan on upgrading soon?  Anyone already upgrade and have additional tips, tricks, or hints?

I’m not a Mac user, so I don’t have any plans on upgrading soon, but it looks cool! I think they had a great idea to incorporate a lot of the iPad gestures to their new OS. My two year old grandson can run my iPod Touch like nobody’s business, so he should have no problem with Lion! 🙂

Planning to upgrade my own Mac at the end of August, and we will most likely upgrade our school Macs sometime in September…so please share any tips you learn before then!

I am trying to figure out the timing of my upgrade too. Thinking about the second week in August. I will let you know how it goes! Do you use any deployment solution for your macs in your school? We use the Casper Suite by JAMF Software.

The closest thing that I have that is an Apple product is the iPod. I mainly use that for little things like, looking up maps, how to videos, and checking up on my latest emails. I am sure there are more bells and whistles on my iPod, but I haven’t discovered them yet. I still don’t know what my laptop is capable of, but it sounds like this Lion product is user friendly, simple, and allows apps to load quickly.
